SCAN_Footprint

Aiming at evaluating the extent to which the binding preferences of human neural regulators are conserved among multiple species, we selected nine representative neural lineage master regulators (i.e., FOXG1, LHX2, NEUROD1, NEUROG1, OLIG2, PAX6, REST, SOX2, TBR1) and retrieved their position weight matrix from JASPER database, then scanned the presence of each motif among the genome sequence of difference species, therefore obtained the pseudo footprints of human neural regulators on the genome of a wide variety of animal species covering mammals, birds, reptiles, fishes and invertebrates. The SCAN_Footprint module provides the pseudo footprint information of 901 species. Users can firstly choose the species category and then click the picture on this page to choose the species you're interested in.
